Couples Therapy in Amsterdam for Expats & International Couples

How Couples Therapy Can Help

Couples therapy offers a structured, relationship-focused approach for expats and international couples seeking clarity, reconnection, and lasting change. Many couples reach a point where communication becomes strained, recurring conflicts feel unresolved, or emotional distance begins to grow. Couples therapy provides a supportive space to understand these patterns.

What Working Together Looks Like

Couples therapy gives you a structured space to explore what is happening between you and what you would like to change. For a fuller overview of the process, read how couples therapy works in Amsterdam, or book a free introduction to explore whether this support fits your relationship.

Working with the Pattern Between You

Sessions are structured but human. We use guided reflection, structured dialogue, and practical exercises to explore the pattern you get caught in together. The aim is not to decide who is right, but to help you understand what happens between you and find a different response when it returns.

Couples Therapy for Expats in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is home to many international and multicultural couples. Relocating to a new country, navigating cultural differences, or managing long-distance transitions can create additional pressure within a relationship. Couples therapy for expats in Amsterdam provides support tailored to these unique challenges. Language barriers, career changes, social isolation, and shifting roles often intensify existing relationship dynamics.

Working with Vincent, an English- and German-speaking Couples Therapist in Amsterdam, gives you a shared space to look at the relationship together, especially when you come from different cultural backgrounds. Whether you are adjusting to life in the Netherlands, managing the stress of relocation, or simply seeking deeper connection, couples counselling offers practical tools and structured guidance to strengthen your relationship.
